Eighty-eight chats, without haste

This conversation arises from slowness. From the increasingly rare possibility of stopping to talk without the urgency of getting somewhere. The questions come from a writer, and they are felt: they do not seek definitions, but fissures, points where the story can open up and breathe. Years, jobs, different languages are traversed as one walks through a city, retracing one’s steps, taking the wrong path, recognizing places only after passing them. There is no thesis to prove, but a voice that takes shape in dialogue, allowing what remains to surface when the labels fall away. A series of chats that do not aim to convince, but to linger, just as well-spoken words linger when they are not in a hurry to become something else.
